About this place
The restaurant’s signature dish, “Original Omelette Rice with Emilia Sauce,” is topped with a sauce simmered with tomato sauce, cream-cheese sauce, plenty of bacon and mushrooms, and Parmigiano cheese. One diner’s account describes a tomato-forward sauce over chicken rice wrapped in egg with a browned surface. It is a generous serving, too; one reviewer found the large portion particularly substantial. Consider whether the standard size will be enough, or choose a large portion to match your appetite.
Omelette rice is also available with ketchup, demi-glace mayonnaise or white cream-cheese sauce; the original Emilia sauce version costs 1,200 yen. The classic omelette rice comes with salad and soup for 1,000 yen. White rice is available in S, M or L, with an extra 100 yen for L and 200 yen for a large serving. There is plenty beyond egg dishes, from a loco moco plate with simmered hamburger steak and Thai green curry to a Japanese-style sticky pasta with pickled plum, steamed chicken, mekabu seaweed and shiso. A daily plate is also offered, so there are options on days when omelette rice is not what you have in mind.
For something sweet, choices include a caramel and strawberry tart, a bittersweet coffee cheesecake and wobbly almond jelly. After a filling meal, you might prefer to save the cake for another visit. Handmade goods are also sold in the restaurant, and some visitors have written about bringing their dogs or meeting the restaurant’s dog. That may be welcome news if you are considering dining with a dog; if you are uncomfortable around dogs, take this into account when planning your visit.
